Liftvan Triest, is the continuation of an exhibition that began with Aenne Biermann and extends into the port of Trieste, where it both continues and is lost.

Liftvan Triest, is the continuation of an exhibition that began with Aenne Biermann (Amnesia Gera) and extends into the port of Trieste, where it both continues and is lost.
Aenne Biermann (1898–1933) was a photographer who, within a very short period of time, established herself as one of the leading representatives of German avant-garde photography.
In 1940, parts of her estate – including original prints and negative – disappeared in a liftvan’ belonging to her family, on its way to Palestine from the port of Trieste.
