In her series, IM GARTEN, Specker has returned to the nature of photography and reflects on nature's relations to architecture, juxtaposing in her compositions buildings and the flora surrounding them. As seen in this book, the visual joy in Specker's photographs and her beguiling use of color recall the work of Albert Renger-Patzsch. Architecture and nature meld to form graphically composed scenes of energetic luminosity.
